Hello third grade families,
I hope everyone is staying healthy and safe. Here is the plan for homework for the extended spring break: Math: Lessons #90-93. Please go over each lesson in the textbook and have them complete the lesson practice before beginning each lesson's homework in the homework book. Lesson #90 Multiplying Two 2-Digit Numbers Lesson #91 Decimal Place Value Lesson #92 Classifying Quadrilaterals Lesson #93 Estimating Multiplication and Division Answers I will send videos answer keys starting on Monday so you can check the homework together. History and Reading: I have assigned each student 5 reading passages related to our History unit in Readworks (go to readworks.org). Students can sign in using their Google sign-in. Most students have their login memorized by now, but if they need help, please let me know. One of the passages has a question set to complete and the others have vocabulary questions to answer. Our (in class) History projects are also on Google Slides. Your child may work on their project (it is a partner project), add in research and pictures if they would like. These projects are now due on April 2nd. Please have your child continue to read 30 minutes per day! Riggs: I will post the new Riggs words with a video to watch starting on Monday. Students should watch the video and copy the words into their Riggs notebook. Then complete the Riggs homework for that day. Here are some great online resources as well: Prodigy (play.prodigygame.com) -Each student already has a login eSpark (espark.app) -Each student already has a login. I have created assignments on here for extra practice in reading and Math Khan Academy-(https://www.khanacademy.org/) Math videos and lessons. We don't currently have logins, but you can create a free account. If you have any questions, please let me know. This is a developing situation, so things can change very quickly! Thanks, Miss Devlin
