I can't believe it is already December! We have three weeks until our Winter Break, so we are going to make the most out of it!
Viking Test: Students have a test tomorrow on the Vikings. We highlighted the important information in our Core Knowledge notebooks today and students were instructed to take these notebooks home to study for 15 minutes tonight. Sad News: Our classroom pet, Leppy the leopard gecko, has gone to a better place. We are discussing getting a new class pet in January such as a bearded dragon. We have not decided yet. Chaperones Needed! We need more chaperones for our upcoming trips! Please sign up here. Our field trips locations are all set except for our February trip. I am in communication with a Weather station that might be able to take our class. They normally only take smaller groups, so we are working out the details. If you have questions about the chaperone training, please let me know. It takes about 10 minutes and can be done any day after school or the morning of the trip. Winter Conference Sign-up I will be sending out the winter conference sign-up next week. Winter conferences will take place on January 31st and February 7th. If you cannot make one of these dates, please let me know. Our winter conferences are student-led conferences, so please make sure it is a time your child can join. Thanks! Upcoming Events: All School Assembly: Thursday, December 19th Winter Break (No School) December 23rd-January 2nd Martin Luther King Jr. Day (No School) January 20th Field Trip Friday: January 24th
